My mother suffered from vascular demantia. Her short term memory was gone. She knew she was beginning to forget simple things, not recognizing her own belongings, repeating herself over and over. She would cry, get angry and often feel like she was losing her mind. It's the most difficult stage to not only experience, but to watch. Sadly, mom gave up her fight and passed away July 23, 2014.
